Automatic Drill Depth for Conical Faces

HSMWorks provides a unique way to drill conical faces such as countersinks. When you select a conical face, the drill depth is automatically adjusted so that the tool tip touches the end of the conical face:

Assuming that the tools tip angle matches the angle of the face, the face will be machined to the exact finish.

90deg tool / 90deg face 60deg tool / 90deg face 118deg tool / 90deg face

Note: If you only wish to drill to the bottom of the face you can select the edge instead, or you can set the depth manually.
